The Hudson Flight

The Hudson Flight took place on August 22, 2019 over the Hudson River in New York City. An international procession of 21 military aircraft made two passes over the Statue of Liberty and past the World Trade Center in one of the most high profile flyovers in history.

Participating teams included the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds, F-35 Lightning II Demo Team, F-22 Raptor Demo Team and the Royal Air Force Red Arrows. Ten different platforms captured video and images of the flyover.

@AirDotShow facilitated the coordination of the Hudson Flight between all four participating teams, the U.S. Army, Federal Aviation Administration, City of New York and the Port Authority of New York/New Jersey.  Planning for the flyover started almost a year before it took place and even involved a visit to the United Kingdom to meet with the Royal Air Force.  Below is a video compilation of clips from 10 different camera inside the cockpits, from chase planes and multiple helicopters that captured footage of this once-in-a-lifetime event.
